Hidez
Hidez UK & Ireland — Wexford
A patented product sold like generic pet gear
Hidez UK & Ireland distribute the world’s first patented graduated compression suits for horses, greyhounds and dogs — kit with a real scientific case behind it and Black Caviar’s unbeaten 25-race campaign on its CV. The old shop was a stock theme that flattened all of that into another pet accessory listing. The brief: a storefront that reads like performance equipment, and that gets found by the trainer searching for one breed with one specific problem.
Headless Shopify, editorial front end
Next.js 14 on Vercel sits in front of the Shopify Storefront API — catalogue, cart and checkout stay in Shopify, while the entire front end is ours. A black-and-red editorial storefront with Oswald display type, per-animal interactive fit sections, a science dossier that lays out the evidence, and a search overlay and cart drawer that never leave the page. Customer accounts run on Shopify’s Customer Account API over OAuth; the blog is served from Sanity.

feat: 380+ breed and scenario landing pages from one generator
Instead of a handful of category pages, a generator crosses 60 dog breeds, 20 horse types and 9 sighthound breeds with the scenarios that actually drive the search — fireworks anxiety, ferry travel, post-surgery recovery, box rest, post-race cooldown — into hundreds of statically generated /specialists and /locations pages, each with its own copy, FAQs, structured data and product links.

feat: an editorial blog that writes and ships itself
A twice-weekly Vercel Cron job drafts a post, pairs it with imagery from the Cloudinary library and cross-links the right product from the live Shopify catalogue, then publishes — so the site keeps adding indexable, on-topic content without anyone opening a CMS.
Performance kit that finally looks the part
Hidez now sells from a storefront that matches the product: static-first pages on Vercel, structured data throughout, hreflang across UK and Irish markets, and hundreds of entry points aimed at the exact search a trainer types the night before a ferry — all while the catalogue stays where the client already manages it.
